Congratulations to the one and only Dan Blake, mainstay of the Liquid Friday marketing team, on reaching his 10 anniversary with the company.
Always one to push himself, Dan has achieved steady career development since starting with Liquid Friday back in 2011. His journey began with a Business Administration Apprenticeship, completing Levels 2 and 3, before transferring to the Customer Care & Compliance Team in 2013.
Having decided that marketing was a much more interesting discipline than admin, in 2014 Dan established a marketing team to support and grow the business, earning his Level 5 Award Digital Direct Marketing in 2015. Dan has been pivotal in shaping our businesses look and feel and has overseen three separate rebrands in his time!
Fast forward five years and Dan took on a management role, growing the team and managing all day-to-day activities.
Things are not calming down any time soon! As he celebrates his 10 year work anniversary, Dan has just started a BSC (Hons) degree programme in Digital Marketing at Chichester University, as well as getting married next year!
Over to Dan…
So, here’s a rundown of my last 10 years with Liquid Friday

- Spent 80% of his salary on Pokemon cards and rum

- Easily spent over 1000 hours playing the Halo games
“Looking back over the 10 years, a lot has happened. I’ve grown up here, made friends for life and even found love!” (Dan’s financée Sadie used to work at Boox, one of Liquid Friday’s sister companies).
“A lot of places say their business is like a family, but Liquid Friday truly mean it; from Day 1 I was welcomed with open arms. I’m super proud of what I’ve achieved here and am looking forward to the future. The last 10 years have been a blast, here’s to 10 more!”
Joe Taffurelli, Head of Group Operations says “I have had the genuine pleasure of working with Dan for the last 9 years and he has made Liquid Friday his home. Dan’s progression in the business has been meteoric and something to be proud of! His most recent adventure will see him achieve a degree is his chosen field of Marketing and I know he is going to smash it! Dan’s contribution in shaping our business over the last decade has been exceptional and I am so excited to see what the future brings.”
Massive congratulations on this milestone anniversary Dan, thanks for your continued hard work and dedication. We all wish you the best of luck for your degree studies and of course your upcoming wedding next Summer.
