Liquid Friday signs the Armed Forces Covenant

Liquid Friday is proud to announce its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. This significant step, facilitated by Shaping Portsmouth, reinforces our dedication to promoting a culture of equality and inclusivity, both in the workplace and wider community. 

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge ensuring fair treatment for those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, as well as their families. It represents a promise by organisations to acknowledge the sacrifices made by military personnel and to provide them with the opportunities and support they deserve. This includes tackling disadvantages in accessing employment, education and healthcare, and building positive connections between businesses, the Armed Forces and local communities.

Supporting the Armed Forces in our community

Within our city, Shaping Portsmouth has expanded its Armed Forces Community Programme to go beyond raising awareness of the Covenant. It now includes initiatives to support not only veterans but also their families and dependents. The programme offers guidance on employment and other key aspects of civilian life while encouraging businesses to sign the Covenant as a vital step in enhancing opportunities for the Armed Forces Community.

Liquid Friday’s COO, Joe Taffurelli, shared the company’s enthusiasm for this initiative:
