The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) has launched a new initiative which gives agencies a clear way to show end-hirers that they are committed to professional, ethical engagement practices.
About the FCSA Partner Charter
The FCSA Supply Chain Partner Charter creates a framework of principles that support and underpin compliance throughout the supply chain, mitigating risk for all parties and providing assurance for hirers that their contingent workforce is in the hands of trusted industry experts.
As an Accredited FCSA member, Liquid Friday fully supports the initiative. Joe Taffurelli, Head of Group Operations, commented:
“Ensuring compliance throughout the supply chain is more important than ever. With the recent enforcement actions carried out by HMRC and considerations such as IR35, Criminal Finances Act and Modern Slavery Act, everyone needs to ensure they are doing their bit. The FCSA Partner Charter demonstrates Agency and End Client commitment to compliance.”
Peace of mind for recruiters and their clients
Commenting on the background to the initiative, Julia Kermode, FCSA CEO, said:
“The demand for contingent labour has grown and along with it we have seen a variety of service providers and payment intermediaries springing up. Some of these offer illegal or questionable solutions that may remove workers’ rights and put the workers at significant personal financial risk. In a complex market, the need for intermediaries to be independently tested to prove their compliance has never been greater.
“With increased liability and due diligence responsibilities facing recruiters, careful risk management has become a critical part of day-to-day business. By signing up to FCSA’s Supply Chain Charter recruiters can get on with their jobs of talent management safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with trusted companies.”
Signing up for the Charter
To sign up to the FCSA Supply Chain Partner Charter, agencies must commit to a preferred supplier list made up of only FCSA Accredited members.
All FCSA Accredited Members have undergone rigorous testing to gain that status and are independently tested annually against the FCSA Codes of Compliance – at no cost to agency partners.
Recruitment businesses that sign up to the Charter have the right to display the FCSA Supply Chain Partner logo as a recognisable quality mark for end-clients and workers, differentiating your agency from the competition.
