Your Halloween Movie Marathon!

As Halloween approaches there’s nothing better than curling up on the sofa, candles lit and a spooky movie marathon! 

As voted for by your Liquid Friday team, these movie suggestions are sure to provoke a jump scare or two. Just keep a cushion handy to hide behind, and don’t have nightmares!

1. Hocus Pocus

A firm favourite with the Liquid Friday team, this 1993 classic is enjoying a resurgence with the release of the long-awaited sequel, currently streaming on Disney+. In the spooky but fun original movie, a teenage boy called Max and his little sister move to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches who were executed in the 17th century.

2. IT

Based on the epic Stephen King novel of the same name, this terrifying 2-parter tells the story of a group of kids in the summer of 1989, who band together to destroy a shape-shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on the children of Derry, their small Maine town.

Sleepy Hollow

Another spooky classic from the 90’s (sensing a theme anyone?) Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow is investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, the Headless Horseman.

An American Werewolf in London

This movie gave a certain Liquid Friday Commercial Director nightmares for a year after seeing it as a child! It follows two American college students on a walking tour of Britain, who are attacked by a werewolf  that none of the locals will admit exists.
